After completing Master’s in Psychology, she has done MPhil in Clinical Psychology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and another MPhil in Student Counselling from Madras University. She then completed PhD in Psychology from the Dept. of Psychology, Madras University. She has Passed UGC test for Lecturership held in December 1996 and June 1998.

She has wide experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults as well as geriatric population. Her areas of expertise include Psychological assessments, neuro-cognitive assessments, psychological therapy especially Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, cognitive retraining, Marital and premarital therapy, etc. She conducts training programs on Parenting, Leadership Skills training, Relationship Enhancement Strategies, Stress management etc. for corporates, and educational institutions. She has given many talks on TV related to these areas. She also regularly writes Newspaper articles in The New Indian Express, Times of India, etc. on various psychology related matters. She is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Apollo Hospitals and Apollo Children Hospital. She is guest faculty in the Department of Clinical Psychology, Institute of Mental Health, Kilpauk.
